Vintage c.1910's Edwardian one of a kind couture black fine wool felt and raspberry red silk cutwork embroidered mantelet. Intricately detailed cutwork with raspberry red silk underlay and ornate multicolored crewelwork embroidery. Open center front with long embroidered scalloped edge panels. Embroidery wraps around panels to back, coming to a peak. Multi tiered black wool felt overlay on ruby red silk body. Similar piece found in the LA County Museum of art (number: 59.68.9). Unmarked fabric content: Wool felt, silk. Measurements: One size fits most.
