About the Item

This is an absolutely amazing find! I have to say I have never seen anything like this before and am crushed it has no label to identify it. The only possible clue is what looks to be a stamp just under the inside collar but I am afraid I cannot make it out. It is very very well done and I would guess that it is either a custom piece by a very talented studio designer or someone who would have designed it for the stage or was a specialty piece by any of the high end designers! It came out of the Hollywood area so the possibilities of its past life are limitless! It weights about 6 pounds - it is completely and totally covered in tiny, precise rows of silver sequins, tiny prong set rhinestones and clear & gold glass tube beads. Huge crystals edge the collar and go down the legs tuxedo style and the entire thing sits on a base of silver and gold shot through organza. Huge mirror look tin squares are hand sewn into place so you get these great flashes of reflection. The sleeves are slightly ballooned at the near the hem and the legs are rock star chic bell bottoms. I love the built in "belt" that sits on the hips - that is just part of the design. It is tiny - I could not photo it on my mannequin so you are not even coming close to getting how fabulous this is on a real body. If you are looking for that one piece that no one, and I mean no one else on the planet will have and is a true absolute over the top piece - this is it! Freshly, specialty cleaned and in excellent condition.

The jumpsuit is fully lined in cream silk crepe and closes with painted metal zipper down the front. Each cuff closes with a hidden snap. There is the occasional bead or sequin missing and the occasional wisping of the metallic threading that runs through the entire piece as would be expected on a piece this heavily adorned. Please check the measurements carefully as it was probably a custom piece and is small - it was not able to fit on my mannequin. It should be dry cleaned when cleaned again in the future.
