About the Item

It is all about the jacket with this 1980's Lloyd Williams three piece ultra suede suit. The black background is perfect to set off a colorful patchwork of greens, blue, pink and red all trimmed in a narrow gold cord resembling a petal design that is somewhat Asian inspired. The suit not only includes the jacket but also a coordinating ultra suede skirt and an ivory white polyester blouse. The jacket hooks up the front, the skirt buttons and zips at the back and the blouse buttons up the back. Ladylike as an ensemble but really fun as separates. Mr. Williams was a New York based African American designer, originally from New Orleans, who enjoyed a great deal of success with his approachable and affordable clothing line and was known for marketing his pieces to Asian markets as well as the U.S. He often referred to his designs as very 'Dynasty' and this one certainly fits that bill. Label appears on the blouse only. CONDITION All three pieces are in very good condition. Though ultra suede is rarely used in current fashions, it really is a great alternative for the look and feel of suede and can be easy to care for. SIZING & MEASUREMENTS The blouse is marked a size 10 and the other pieces are unmarked but appear to be a comparable size ... fits true to size and the jacket might also work for smaller sizes with attention to the following measurements. For visual reference, the mannequin in the photographs is a size 4 and the skirt had to be clipped in order to photograph.
