This striking 1960s Sarmi New York evening suit comes from the Brooklyn Museum archives, reflecting the innovation and glamour of mid-century couture. The two-piece set is crafted in a rare textile of three-dimensional ruched black horsehair layered over black lace, creating a sculptural surface with dramatic depth and shine.
The jacket features a high neckline, straight silhouette, and sparkling rhinestone ball buttons that add subtle brilliance. Measurements: Bust 36 in., Length 26 in. The matching trousers balance the ensemble with clean tailoring, cut in a slim leg for elongation. Measurements: Waist 26 in., Inseam 30 in., Outseam 44 in.
