About the Item

Exceptional HANAE MORI COUTURE pure silk jumpsuit & jacket set featuring detailed floral print. This beautiful two piece set was designed by Hanae Mori during the 1970's to the early 1980's in Japan. The jumpsuit and matching jacket are both beautifully hand-constructed, made of pure, soft silk, and feature an exquisite floral artwork print consisting of butterflies, dragonflies, berries, leaves, and a variety of florals. The coral pink background utilizes ombre print technique, transitioning from light and dark. The top-layer jacket features a wonderful diamond-smock, couture hand-stitching detail at the top, front and back shoulders. The front neck of the jacket features a self fabric bow-tie closure atop concealed, hook and eye closure. The jacket features voluminous, balloon style sleeves with fabric covered snaps at cuffs. The jacket is lined in semi-sheer silk chiffon. The matching jumpsuit features snap-off shoulder straps, as well as side seam waist loops. It has a fitted bodice with flared, wide pant legs. There is a center-back zipper entry at interior lining with concealed, fabric covered snaps below rear waist. The jumpsuit is fully lined. The set has a crisp, fresh look, and is in excellent condition. *MEASUREMENTS* There is no size label attached, we estimate the set to be a US size 6-8. Condition:
The original owner had pinned the pant legs up whilst in storage. As shown in the last photo there is one tiny pin-puncture at the inseam hem of the wearer's right pant leg. It is absolutely not visible when the jumpsuit is worn.
