About the Item

Vintage Oscar de la Renta black and white silk diagonal stripe, open front evening skirt, matching shawl and strapless dress. This amazing set is from the early 1990s. The skirt has a wide band waist with self ties at the front, there is an interior grosgrain ribbon band with bar hooks at the waist front. The skirt is open at the front from the waist tie to the hem, there are inverted pleats at the front waist sides that fall open to the hem. The fabric is cut on the bias at the back and is pieced perfectly, the skirt back comes to a point at the hem, lined in black silk organza. The matching wide and long shawl is unlined. This set comes with a strapless charcoal grey wool twill knee length cocktail dress. The dress has a center front neck vent, with seamed bust, fitted waist and hip, it tapers to the hem, the dress has a hand set zipper and an added black corset, which is tagged, designer collection by Formfit and designed by Pauline Trigere. The dress is lined in black silk. The dress has been let out at the hip side seams. The skirt is labeled, the shawl and dress labels have been removed. In excellent wearable condition. All our clothing is dry cleaned and inspected for condition and is ready to wear. Any condition issues will be noted. For visual comparison our mannequin is a size 4.
