About the Item
Unusual compact in ivorene and faux carnelian circa 1930. The center motif is molded in a faux ivory celluloid and is surrounded by pointed faux carnelian stones. The box is set in 800 silver (tested) and has elaborately hand etched designs throughout.The interior is parcel gilt with screen and powder puff.
