About the Item

Circa 1850/1900 France Provence Astonishing and rare Patchwork collected in Provence and dating from the second half of the 19th century. Diamons in printed cotton diamonds forming squares sewn together at the running stitch. All the Indiennes date from 1820 to 1880. An alternation of prints with a turkey red background, punctuated with Indienne with dots, checks, flowers .... About fifteen triangles are altered and eventually to replace, otherwise very good resistance of the canvas for the rest. Very good condition of color and conservation. Dimensions : 172 cm X 236 cm
