Vintage 1940's blue velvet and pearl pixie hat and matching bag set 1940s hat
About the Item
This wonderful 1940's navy blue velvet and pearl decorated hat and matching bag set, are the perfect ode to the winter season.
The pixie design of the hat, boasts a rounded wire frame along the brim of the hat, which is accented by sewn pearlescent beads. A second board of sewn pearlescent beads, sets off the calot design of the hat, which is finished with a pixie point along the back. This hat is fully lined in blush pink rayon, and sits comfortably upon ones head.
The matching blue velvet drawstring handbag, boasts an oval base design, which is trimmed with matching pearlescent bead embellishments, which set off the draw string fastening along the top of the bag. The drawstrings are finished with small brass coloured beads. The bag is fully lined in a plastic vinyl.

Condition: The hat is in perfect condition, with light and natural impression to the velvet, which is to be expected.
The bag is in good but not perfect condition. Considerable wear and marks can be found to the vinyl lining. Light and gentle fraying to the draw string ties above wear the brass beads are positioned along the extremities. Tarnishing and wear to the brass beads and metal eyelets that thread the string ties. Natural and light impressions to the velvet throughout, this is a natural process. Please refer to the photographs as they form part of the product description.
