Walborg Italian Gold Crochet Handbag With Velvet Accents, 1960's
About the Item
Boho meets mod in this fun 1960's gold crochet handbag made in Italy for Walborg. Hilde Walborg founded her company in the 1940's and produced classically styled handbags that offered a little something different for a special occasion. This bag is made with gold metallic threading that has a darker antiqued look and is accented with woven velvet details. It has double handles that are long enough to wear at the shoulder but could also be comfortably carried on the arm. The zippered closure opens to reveal a fabric lined interior with an open side pocket and enough room for tech devices and other modern accessories. Though the handbag was previously owned, it was never used and has both the Walborg hang tag and Lord & Taylor tag are still attached. A little fun fact ... the handbag came from the Atlanta estate of a fashionable woman who once lived in Hollywood and worked for Lucille Ball and Desilu Productions. Golden glam!
CONDITION
Very good condition. Previously owned though never carried. Original hang tags included.

The body of the handbag measures 9.5" wide x 7" tall x 2.5" deep. Each handle measures 24" from end to end providing for 11" drop.
