A beautiful ancient red lacquered round box with original paintings. The remnants of the top's elaborate painting of flowers and scrolls remain visible. Box has a black lacquered interior. Areas of wear show many layers of construction. All original, untouched condition. A very special piece to be cherished for its history and artistic craftsmanship.
