This is a guaranteed authentic old Chinese jade bi cache of ninety four (94) discs from the Qijia culture, Northwestern China. Including our “Certificate of Authenticity” To worship heaven with a bi explains their importance and use in ancient Chinese culture. This group would make an instant collection for reference study, trading, making into your own pendant jewelry, or new year gifts. Dimensions will vary: 1.5-2.8 inches diameters. Quality will vary from good to fair- please refer to the photographs. Shapes will include round, nearly round, and irregular styles. Serious parties may request more photographs. An attractive Chinese Heavenly green jade Bi disk with beautiful translucent "cloud bands" patterns of light and medium green horizontal accents in the stone that depict appealing movements. This comes from our private collection which we formed over a period of twenty years while traveling extensively through out all of China. Dimensions: bi disc is 7 inches high with custom stand as shown Jades were handmade and hand abraided and hand polished using tools of the time: bamboo, stone, water and stone dust . This antique nephrite jade double gourd pendant is of the Qing Dynasty and has a fine texture with a glossy luster. It is primarily white with some slight inclusions in the left lower body but in bright light the pendant has a slight green tinge. This lovely jade pendant consists of a smaller gourd on top of a larger one surrounded by vines with smaller hanging gourds. The vines create numerous holes from which to hang the pendant. There are also etchings of stars on the body of the gourds along with tendrils of curling vines. In the Chinese culture, the double gourd is a symbol of fertility and good fortune.
