Fine Quality Japanese Antique Gold Painted Satsuma Earthenware Flower Vase, Meij

About the Item

This work was produced in Kagoshima at the beginning of the Meiji era and exported to Europe. It is likely specially made by order from overseas. Despite being a masterpiece, it is extremely rare for it to exist in such a beautiful state, and there are few examples of large vases written in detail with delicate brush strokes. The figure is formed by making full use of the advanced Roku technique that the upper part is shaped in accurate six sides and the lower part is squeezed into a circle. It is a masterpiece of Kinrande that fully expresses craftsmen's technique. Comes with cirtification published by Gallery Roman and original tomobako tomobako size: H 51cm W 30cm D 30cm / H 20in W 11.8in D 11.8in.
