19th or 20th Century Antique Asian Mirror Frame

About the Item

A large 19th or 20th century Asian, possibly Chinese, carved mirror frame. Heavy Asian wood. The top with carving similar to a crest and two Foo dogs facing each other. Probably made for export. Possibly originally with a painted mirror glass. The frame work with a floral and leaves design carving. It would make a very decorative mirror with new mirror glass and some polishing on the wood. It is now dusty and a bit dirty after long storage.

  • Condition:
    Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Minor structural damages. The mirror glass is missing. The frame is complete with some minor losses. Two corners of the frames needs to be pushed back in place where they are joined. The frame is stable and holding well together in present state. It is dusty and a bit dirty.
