This is an antique Canterbury rack. An English, rosewood three sectioned magazine or newspaper stand, dating to the Regency period, circa 1820. Appealing Regency craftsmanship, a treat for the lounge Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order Select stocks offer striking grain interest throughout Rich caramel hues dazzle beneath a quality wax polish finish Striking X-shaped upper offering a trio of equal size compartments Turned finials accentuate each corner of the upper Central drawer with mahogany box dressed with a pair of circular pulls and inset lock — key absent Raised upon squat cupped legs and riding smoothly upon brass castors to each corner This is an delightful antique Canterbury rack, with exceptional colour and figuring. Of useful size for several publications or sheet music if required. Solid joints and construction, delivered ready for the home.
