Antique Chinese Red Lacquer Cabinet with Gilt Hand-Painting

About the Item

The fine gilt painted red lacquer cabinet with square top corners and rectangular-sectioned frames, a pair of paneled doors with gilt painting of children at play in the courtyard, opening to the interior with a mid-shelf forming the top of a row of two drawers, the side posts continuing to form the legs, braced with front shaped apron and side straight stretchers. Shanxi Province, circa 1800 Measures: 46 ½” W x 21 ¼” D x 71” H (118cm W x 54cm D x 180cm H).
