Early 20th Century Japanese Lacquered Low Table

About the Item

An antique Wakasa lacquered low table, inlaid with abalone shells from Japan, circa 1920s. This type of table is extremely labour intensive. They were not made after the 1950s. Under candlelight the shells intentionally sparkle like starts in the sky.
