We are delighted to offer for sale this absolutely stunning, highly decorative, Antique Tibetan, Polychrome painted Altar cabinet with drawers depicting dragons This is a very good looking and well made piece of art furniture. It is the best kind of antique because it looks interesting and decorative in any setting whilst still being a useful piece of furniture that offers huge amount of storage whilst not taking up a large floor footprint The cabinet offers eight individual cupboards and three large drawers, it is polychrome painted which dates back hundreds of years Decoration wise I can see three levels of creatures, birds which look to be perhaps pheasants, then dragons and lastly rats, the dragons depict Power and Good Luck in Chinese mythology, the rat means Wisdom, Wealth and Prosperity The condition is sublime, it has loads of patination but looks absolutely perfect for the period Dimensions Height:- 107cm Width:- 114cm Depth:- 35.5cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask Any questions please feel free to ask before you bid Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
