A stunning example of the elegance of the Qing Period in Chinese furniture. Dating back to the 19th century, this Fine Chinese Qing Period Carved Giltwood and Lacquered Console Table highlights exquisite detailing and artistry.
Measuring 41 inches in width, 13.75 inches in depth, and standing at a height of 32 inches, the table features a rectangular form. Its top has an inset panel of black lacquer with a finely gilt-decorated garden and bird motif, evoking scenes of tranquility and nature.
Resting on a Chinese red painted and lacquered base, the table has several inset hand-carved high-relief giltwood panels depicting intricate Chinese landscapes, each telling its own story of tradition and culture.
