With each minute of production time costing €2, the design’s final price directly reflects the time it took to make it, bridging the gap between the designer and viewer.
Renowned for his use of vivid colour palettes, intricate patterns and innovative use of Diego Dough: an exclusive type of air-drying clay that leaves a satisfyingly smooth, bouncy and glossy finish – the French designer aims to elevate overlooked everyday objects to showcase that art can be found in even the most mundane of objects.
Inspired by the impressive mass of a Hippopotamus, the 2154 Hippo Chair arrives in a hand-moulded Silhouette, expertly hand-covered in Diego Dough for an immediately recognisable bouncy finish. Designed with practicality in mind, its lightweight construction allows you to conveniently move it around from space to space without struggle or worry. It can be used as a functional chair or as a quirky decorative piece for your home or workplace.
