About the Item
This is an old Japanese low table.
The top plate is made of a large single piece of board.
A board this big is now very expensive.
It has a very solid feel.
It is made entirely of zelkova wood, and the strong wood grain is impressive.
Zelkova wood is a representative wood of Japan that has been used for construction materials and furniture for Japanese houses, shrines and temples since ancient times.
I think the rounded tips of the legs are a nice accent.
I think it can be used as a stand to display large items.
