Petite Chinese Carriage Bench, circa 1900
$1,180

About
Crafted at the turn of the century, this petite bench is simply designed with clean lines and little decoration. Given its short stature and narrow frame, this bench was likely a versatile step stool. Moved throughout the home as needed, the bench would have been used as a low step into one's carriage as well as a seat. Left unfinished to celebrate the color and texture of northern elmwood, the narrow step is the perfect way to bring a touch of history into the modern home.
