We are delighted to offer for sale this exquisite and exceptionally rare 19th century Chinese red lacquer cabinet on stand A good looking and decorative piece, this is circa 1860-1880, hand painted and lacquered with multiple layers to the finish. This pieces is absolutely timeless and a very rare and collectable find This type of furniture became very popular with English aristocrats and high society in the mid-late 18th century when Asian influence was making its way to our shores. The likes of Thomas Chippendale pretty much the finest cabinet maker in history was working with these designs The condition is period perfect, a lovely patination all over, there are no losses, this is simply glorious Complete dimensions Height 162cm Width 72cm Depth 18.5cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
