Roots Altar - Collector’s cabinet
About the Item
Roots Altar, true to its name, emerges as a furniture sculpture permeated with an enigmatic altar-like ambiance. Drawing inspiration from the dynamic vitality of tropical waters, its color scheme radiates allure and fascination.
Fashioned from veneers of seven diverse wood species, spanning both local and exotic varieties, the substantial components of this masterpiece amalgamate into a truly exceptional form. The experimental veneer coloring begets a distinctive surface, heightened by the presence of bold and unconventional drawers.
Another distinctive feature unfolds in the doors of the lower storage compartment, meticulously shaped using mycelium—a delicate network of miniature fungal roots—once more echoing the essence of the collection's name. Roots Altar stands not only as a functional piece but also as an artistic marvel, seamlessly blending mystery, craftsmanship, and nature-inspired aesthetics.

FUTURO Studio
In 2017, we founded FUTURO studio in response to our growing inner voice, longing for self-realization and the desire to prove that furniture does not have to be just consumer goods.
We focus on working with thin sheets of wood, which we cut into small pieces and then assemble by hand into various patterns and motives, which we apply to the furniture.
We love looking for ways to create things that seemingly cannot be created. Equally, we are fascinated by modern technologies we use in our work which gradually expanded from private spaces to cafés, hotels, or even a castle. FUTURO is future
