Very Decorative Chinese Champlevé Enamel Plate in a Japanese Style

About the Item

A very decorative Chinese champlevé enamel plate in a Japanese style, vividly enameled with a peacock amidst flowering prunus branches and endless knot motif border, the plate measures 7 1/16"-inches in diameter x 1"-inch high. Together with a Chinese copper alloy cast relief plate depicting three men playing a board game under a tree, the second plate measures 8 5/8"-inches in diameter x 1"-inch high. Both plates are 20th century.
