Chinese Teapot Caddy in Carved Wood

About the Item

Chinese carved wood teapot caddy. The front panel has a hole opening for the spout, with a shaped wood carrying handle inserted into the ears, the lid having a partial Jian Ding wax seal from the 19th century. Wear and losses to the gilt-painted handle and the body is lacking one brass strap.
