Merry-go-round Tiger from Burma Myanmar Asia, 20th Century


A vintage Burmese carousel tiger. This whimsical tiger was originally part of a merry-go-round in Burma during the 20th century. The tiger has the appearance of being in mid-run, open mouthed and bearing its teeth. It is made of painted wood, the traditional orange and black stripes, and has been mounted on a custom black iron stand.
