Meiji Period Carved Lion and Tiger
About the Item
This is an outstanding pair of Meiji Period carved hardwood figures of a ferocious lion and tiger. The carving is exceptional as is the bone detailing of the mouthes and teeth. The finely carved paws are detailed with realistic bone claws; a few of the claws have losses. These felines have been together for the past 100 years and we will not separate them--sold as pairs only. Please contact us to request additional photos or information.
