Pair of 19th Century Chinese Weathered Courtyard Doors
$4,380

About
Originally part of an elaborate entrance way to a 19th century courtyard home in China's Shanxi province, these grand doors have developed rich character over time. Years of exposure to the elements have endowed the wood with a wonderful texture that exaggerates the grain. The hobnailed iron trim and elaborately detailed door plate bear a patina that comes only with time. Poised to function amidst a grand hedge, or installed inside on a wall as historical sculpture, the doors quietly make a statement.
Dimensions listed describe the doors as a pair.
