Chinese Late Qing Carved Soapstone Jar Shaped Brush Pot

About the Item

A well carved Chinese soapstone brush pot of jar shape believed to date from the latter Qing dynasty and probably around 1900. The brush washer is carved from a jade colored soapstone with shades of green and brown and has a flat narrow rounded base and a simple small rounded opening to the top. The jar shaped brush washer is not marked. In good condition with age related wear.
