The cobra-hood shaped headdress features a central gahu box surrounded by large beads of turquoise, nacre ( mother-of-pearl ), and other semi-precious materials from Ladakh. traditionally passed down from mother to daughter, the headdress functioned as a protective force and as a form of material wealth. Mounted on custom metal stand.
