This Victorian era iron panel is ornately cast with an abundance of scrolling foliage. Having stood the test of time for more than 135 years, this antique cast iron railing panel is a piece of reclaimed history for your property, looking beautiful as part of a traditional English garden scheme or a heritage feature of a modern home.
George Wright & Co, Rotherham
George Wright & Co was established in Rotherham in 1861, having previously traded as Crichley, Wright & Co from 1854. The business incorporated into a limited company in 1905.
The firm manufactured a range of decorative cast iron pieces including stoves, ventilation grates, chimneypieces, gates, railings and various other works of ironmongery.
George Wright Ltd continued production into the 20th century; an advertisement from the South Yorkshire Times can be seen in the 1st June 1979 edition.
