Pair Donald Deskey Brass & Wrought Iron Andirons
About the Item
Pair of fireplace andirons designed by Donald Deskey circa 1950 for Bennett.
Sculpturally cut and formed forged blackened iron J swoops (aligned for left and right) embellished with a round brass puck sized ornaments, standing on symmetrical arched bands, all supported by cast iron firedogs.
We have opted not to apply blackening to these and have instead have cleaned them with a wire brush and left the natural patination.
