About the Item
An exceptional pair of English andirons, possibly by Ernest Gimson having double blossom brass bosses applied to and iron backing, the shaft having similar applied pierced decoration, all of very fine quality. See the Cheltenham Museum collection of Cotwold School items for a virtually identical example.
