Gaston Le Bourgeois attributed Important pair of dogs andirons, circa 1930, France. Beautiful wrought iron work. Gaston Le Bourgeois is an important French sculptor. In the 1930s, he directed the sculpture workshop at the École de l'Union Centrale des Arts Décoratifs. Based in Paris, his neighbor and friend was the animal sculptor Rembrandt Bugatti. In 1940, he was invited to participate in the prestigious Venice Biennale. He worked for numerous decorators, including J-E Ruhlmann,...
