Howes of Boston Anchor Andirons

About the Item

USA, ca. 1920s. A handsome pair of andirons by the S. M. Howes Company of Boston, which manufactured stoves and fireplace equiptment from 1870 to 1930. Each features cast iron construction with stylized anchor, dolphin, and rope motif. Perfect for a beach bungalow or for anyone who, like us, wishes they were constantly staring at the sea. In excellent vintage condition with attractive surface patine. Dimensions: 9” wide x 22.5” deep x 17” high.
