Impressive Pair of English Regency Brass Firedogs with Aethenian Leaves
About the Item
A pair of magnificent English Regency (circa 1820) brass firedogs. The cylindrical bases cast with delicate Athenian leaves with acanthus and waterleaf detail with dragooned mushroom top, surmounted by lotus leaf and guilloche pattern. Leaf urn finial. Exquisite quality. Back bars could be added to any depth.
