About the Item
This is a large, heavy (about 48 lbs) impressive and well constructed pair of brass fireplace andirons, chenets or fire dogs with a well detailed lion head in the bottom front and serious ball and claw feet. This set does not have long rear bars, they are curved and extent out about 9 inches so, if you plan to use them to burn wood you will need an elevated grate.
The andirons are about 29.5 inches tall and about 12 inches wide at the base, there is a sweet small finial on the rear bar that measures about 12 inches tall.
