About the Item
A pair of late 19th century French andirons, in France called ‘Chenets’. Richley decorated with scrolls on the front fries. Standing on fluting columns with a flower garland and with pine cone endings. The back rests are made of forged iron, these are also the supports on which to place the wood. Made in France araound 1880-1890. Overall in good and stable condition, little wear of age and use at the gilt patina.
