Petite Small French Style Brass Andirons Fire Dogs w/ Bell Flower & Fruit
About the Item
This is an exceptionally sweet pair of very small cast brass andirons. The plinth consists of acanthus leaves which raise to a decorative fruit grouping topped with a bell flower. The semi circle legs have very human looking feet facing sideways and the shaped leg in the back has one facing backwards and is topped with a decorative curled log stop.
The andirons are small but nice quality and in excellent condition with only minor surface wear. They appear to have been for ornamental use only.
