About the Item

Here is an absolutely sweet and lovely pair of cast iron fireplace andirons or fire dogs with the bust of an attractive young lady, her curly hair up in a bun. The black painted finish has aged to a wonderful patina but the firedogs are substantially made, the horizontal bar is of hollow triangular form but is very solid. They measure 13 inches from the very front to the back and 9 1/2 inches from the back of the figure to the back of the horizontal bar and are 7 1/2 inches to the top of the head.
