1800s Post Office Window

This is a beautiful early US post office window. It still has the original numbered slots to sort mail, the brass mail slot reads letters. It has the original gated window ant two doors to close it. Behind the mail slot is a draw to catch letters. There is a light spot on in the stain over the window. I would guess that held a small sign with the office hours. Is in wonderful condition and makes an impressive display.
