1820s Metal Studded Geometric Pattern Solid Teak Wood Ceiling from a Temple

About

It is typical of the heavily made components used in those days in temple architecture. It was the concept in those days that anything made for a temple has to last forever and indestructible.. This one meets the standard required for a temple. Made by hand picked skilled artisans apart from heavy wood work the piece boasts of exceptional hand forged iron works. handmade iron nails were heated to red hot temperature and driven inside the wood and hammered to make the joint firm. This extraordinary ceiling is all made by handworks and is a work of art. Will make a great head board or a solid wall decoration in a wine room or a fireplace mount. The type of nails used tell the period it was made. Size: Width 59", height 55" and depth 5.5".
