Huge amazing richly carved wooden portal frame, Italy

About the Item

Incredible and enormous portal in poplar wood richly carved with leaf decorations and volutes, ancient and original from the 18th century, sumptuous and luxurious. A rare historical find, it was located at the entrance to an entrance hall of a noble castle in northern Italy. maximum measurement cm w 205 (+ hat projection) x H 307 x D 15, the passage measures cm w 115 x H 258. It can be disassembled between the columns and the overdoor. In the last photo combined with an antique door of excellent quality and consistent dimensions, sold separately.
