Large Berber Fish Tile Panel, Morocco
About the Item
A unique patchwork composition panel. The fun and colorful hand painted panel consists of 35 moroccan tiles. All tiles show sketches and drawings of fish in the style of the Berber culture. Each of them are unique.
The Berbers (or Amazigh) are the indigenous inhabitants of North Africa. For a variety of historical and ideological reasons that name today is usually reserved only to those who, in North Africa, still speak the Berber language.

Size panel: 18.7 inch (47.5 cm) height x 26.18 inch 66.5 cm width x 0.39 inch (1 cm) thick
Size each tile: 3.74 inch (9.5 cm) x 3.74 inch (9.5 cm)
Condition is very good. Some crazing to the glaze is part of the design. There can be slight variations in each tile’s size because of their handmade craftsmanship.
