Large Colorful Berber Handmade Tile Panel, Morocco
About the Item
A colorful hand painted panel of 28 moroccan tiles. The tiles show sketches and symbols of the Berber culture. Like fish, camels, flowers, sun and salamanders. Each of them are unique.
The Berbers (or Amazigh) are the indigenous inhabitants of North Africa. For a variety of historical and ideological reasons that name today is usually reserved only to those who, in North Africa, still speak the Berber language.

Size each tile: 3.74 inch (9.5 cm) x 3.74 inch (9.5 cm)
Condition is generally very good. Minor chips, scuffs, color different and wear associated with age. Some crazing to the glaze is part of the historical design. There can be slight variations in each tile's size because of their age and craftsmanship.
