A beautiful pair of 19th century cast iron decorative panels, richly detailed and full of period charm. Each panel features an ornate central plaque depicting a putti (cherub) surrounded by intricate motifs including birds, ribbons, and fruit—classic elements of Victorian decorative design.
Crafted from solid cast iron, these panels have been painted multiple times over the years and now show signs of natural patina and surface rust, adding to their antique appeal. One panel appears to have undergone a historical repair, visible in the photos provided, but structurally sound.
The backs of both panels include four screw holes for easy wall mounting or integration into furniture, gates, or architectural restoration projects.
