About the Item
This pair of monumental bronze Corinthian style columns, crafted circa 1900 in New York, evoke the grandeur of turn of the century architecture. The capitals of the columns are in the Corinthian style with intricate acanthus leaves that delicately scroll at the edges. Long fluted shafts give way to ornate plinths that features acanthus leaves and classical architectural motifs echoing the capitals. Robust square bases adorned with the Greek key pattern support each column. The combination of substantial size and intricate detailing, rarely found today, makes these columns a handsome decorative addition.
