An Italian carved-wood finial from the 19th century. This antique finial from Italy, standing approximately 2.75 feet in height, has an urn-shaped center carved with thickly reeded perimeter, acanthus and fire projecting from its topside, and rounded pedestal at lower side. This piece is raised upon a 13.25" square platform base. The dark wood has a wonderful aged patina throughout.
