Early 1900s Rare Antique Free Standing Italian Marble Bathtub

About the Item

This one of a kind marble bathtub was hand-carved in Italy during the early 20th century. Throughout the years it was stored at an Italian family estate surviving two World Wars. What is quite unique about this ancient marble tub is that its drain hole was never drilled, clearly indicating that it was never installed or used as a bathtub. This is why the interior surface of the salvaged tub was strikingly well preserved over the years and remains in pristine condition. The very exclusive veining, grade, color, texture and creamy undertone for the tub's aged Italian Carrara marble offer a uniquely captivating combination. The natural aging of the untouched exterior walls of the tub is phenomenal and so is the contrast between the texture of the ALMOST NEW silky smooth inner surface and THE VERY AGED outer surface of the tub. You see history in the making on the outside while enjoying every glamorous minute from the inside of the never-before-used marble bathtub. This rare and charming reclaimed tub was meticulously tested and confirmed for ZERO cracks or leaks upon the cleaning of it's interior surface. Normal signs of wear and tear appear on the exterior surface of the antique tub: It gloriously aged throughout the years as nature was taking its course of action. This exquisite private collection item is one hard to find architectural element that would serve as the center of attraction in any Luxury setting. DIMENSIONS: 68"W × 29"D × 22"H.
